CAA Licensed for Commercial Drone Operations
All drone operations are conducted in accordance with UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations under the Open Category, specifically A1 and A2 subcategories. The remote pilot holds a valid CAA Flyer ID, including A1/A3 certification and A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) where required, and the operator is fully CAA registered, with a valid Operator ID displayed on all aircraft. Operations are carried out within the limitations of the Open Category and do not require an Operational Authorisation using the DJI Mini 4 Pro under 250g in slow speed mode with 4k zoom to allow for more detailed closer building inspections.
At The Drone Inspector Ltd, safety and compliance are paramount. All flights are planned and executed in line with CAP 722 and the UK Drone Code, including adherence to altitude limits, visual line-of-sight requirements, airspace restrictions, and separation distances from people and property. Site-specific risk assessments are completed prior to each operation, and airspace checks (including NOTAMs and Flight Restriction Zones) are undertaken to ensure safe, lawful, and professional drone operations. We strongly encourage clients to verify drone operator certification.
